A closed vessel contains equal volumes of water and steam at atmospheric pressure and 100 degree celsius. is the number of water molecules present in steam and in water are same ?

No. The theory that equal volume will have equal no of molecule at equal presser holds only for gases. Not for solid or liquid.
In above case water has more no of molecule than vapour.
