A coil made of insulated copper wire is connected to a galvanometer. What will happen if a bar magnet is kept close to the wire ?

Solution

If the bar magnet is kept near the wire, and kept stationary, there is not change of flux through the wire, it remains constant.
Hence emf induced in the solenoid according to
EMFinduced=dϕdt=0
