A coil of area 500 cm2 and 2000 turns is kept normal to a magnetic field of 4105Wbm2 It is rotated through 180 in 0.1 s. (i) Calculate the average induced emf. (ii) If the total resistance of the circuit be 20Ω calculate the induced charge.

Number of turns =N=2000
B=4×105T
t=0.1s
θ=0° to 180°
Change in flux =ϕrϕi
ϕi=NBAcos0°=NBA
ϕr=NBAcos180°=NBA
ϕ=2NBA
Eav=ϕt
=2NBAE
=2×1000×0.4×104×0.050.1
=0.04v
R=20Ω
Induced current =I=vR=0.0420
=0.002.
Hence, the answer is 0.002.
