A coil of area 500 cm2 having 1000 turns is placed such that the plane of the coil is perpendicular to a magnetic field of magnitude 4×105 weber/m2. If it is rotated by 180 about an axis passing through one of its diameter in 0.1 sec, find the average induced emf.

0iven that :- N=1000,B=4×105weber/m2,A=500cm2=0.05m2

Initial flux linked with the coil, ϕ1=1000×4×105×0.05

ϕ1=2×103weber

After rotation of 180o, B remains same but normal vector gets reversed, hence ϕ2=ϕ1

Average EMF=E=Δϕt

E=ϕ2ϕ1t

E=ϕ1ϕ2t

E=2ϕ1t

E=4×1030.1V

E=40mV
