$$\begin{gathered} =5+0.5 \\ =5.5km \end{gathered}$$

Area of rectangle $=length\times breadth$

$$\begin{gathered} =7\times 5.5 \\ =38.5k{m}^2 \end{gathered}$$

Hence the area of the plot is $38.50k{m}^2.$
