Let the price of the TV before the tax be $Rs.x$

Sale Tax (in $\%)=10\%$

Sale price (Marked price) $=Rs.17600$

Sale tax (in Rs.) $=10\%$ of $x=0.1x$

$\therefore$ Sale price = Price before tax + sale tax

$17600=x+0.1x$

$x=\frac{17600}{2.1}$

$x=Rs.16000$

So, sale tax $=0.1x=0.1\times 16000=Rs.1600$
