This statement is false. This is because the definition of a mixture states that the individual properties of the components of a mixture must always be retained. For example, when we mix iron filings with sand, we are making a mixture.

Here the properties of iron and sand don't change.

But if I put Zinc in water, it leads to the formation of Zinc Oxide and Hydrogen gas is released. Clearly, we are creating a new product with different properties.

So, in this case the individual properties are not retained.
