Solution

A company attached its drainage system with a near by Canal. So that the waste directly go in canal without affecting the local area. The values that are missing are :-

1. Spreading water pollution by inefficient waste disposal. Water pollution is caused due to inefficiency in disposal of waste. Long term exposure to polluted water causes chronic health problems, making the issue of industrial pollution into a severe one.

2. Throwing untreated waste material which may cause damage of fishes etc. in the canal. Industrial water pollution can have far reaching effects on the ecosystem. The water used in various industrial processes comes in contact with toxic chemicals, heavy metals, organic sludge, and even radioactive sludge. So, when such polluted water is thrown into the canal without any treatment, the water become unfit for any human and animal use.

3. It will affect the health of birds and animals who will drink that water. The common industrial pollutants responsible for causing water pollution are, sulfur, asbestos, poisonous solvents, lead, mercury, nitrates, phosphates, acids, alkalies, dyes, pesticides, and volatile organic chemicals. Chemicals like sulfur is harmful for marine life, while asbestos is known to be a potential carcinogen. Drinking water contaminated with chemicals may increase the risk for the birds and animals.

4. Irrigating the land with that water will spoil the fertility of land. If the polluted water goes into the agricultural lands, it effects the mineral content of the land and thereby reducing the productivity.
