Solution

Profit for selling each white cement bag = Rs. 9
Loss for selling each grey cement bag = Rs. 5
(1)
Bags of white cement sold by the company = 7,000
Bags of grey cement sold by the company = 6,000

Hence profit earned by the company = 7,000 ×9 = Rs.63,000
Loss incurred by the company = 6,000 × 5 = Rs. 30,000

here profit is greater than loss so, the company got profit
profit =63,000-30,000=33,000

(ii)Now, the loss incurred by the company = 5,400 × 5 = 27,000
Hence, to make the amounts equal, the profit should also be the same.
Therefore, the profit is Rs. 27,000

No. of white cement bags = 27,000 ÷ 9=3000
That is equal to 3,000
