Complete the addition – subtraction box:

In the first row, we have to add $\frac{2}{3}$ and $\frac{4}{3}$.

$\frac{2}{3}+\frac{4}{3}=\frac{6}{3}$

Similarly for the second row

$\frac{1}{3}+\frac{2}{3}=\frac{3}{3}$

In the first column, we have to subtract $\frac{2}{3}$ and $\frac{1}{3}$.

$\frac{2}{3}-\frac{1}{3}=\frac{1}{3}$

Similarly for the second column

$\frac{4}{3}-\frac{2}{3}=\frac{2}{3}$

Now, When we add the fractions in the third row:

$\frac{1}{3}+\frac{2}{3}=\frac{3}{3}$

When we subtract the fractions in the third column we get:

$\frac{6}{3}-\frac{3}{3}=\frac{3}{3}$
