Compound B = Ethanol $[{C H}_{3} {C H}_{2} - O H]$ on heating ethanol with con. $H_{2} {S O}_{4}$ . It becomes ethane.
${C H}_{3} {C H}_{2} - O H c o n c . H_{2} {S O}_{4} - ------ \to C_{2} H_{4}$
