Solution

Focal length of object lens is fo=2cm
Focal length of eye lens fe=6.25cm
Distance between eyepiece and object lens D=15 cm.
From lens maker formula we have,
1ve1ue=1fe
1ve1fe=1ue
Considering ve=25cm (least distance of distinct vision)
12516.25=1ue
ue=5cm
We know distance of the object from objective lens vo=15|ue|
vo=10cm
