A compound X metal oxide is black coloured solid. It reacts with dil. hydrochloric acid and the blue green coloured solution is formed due to the formation of Y.As there is formation of blue green coloured solution it is copper chloride. The metal oxide isCuO which is black in colour. When copper oxide reacts with di HCl it forms CuCl2CuO + 2 dil HCl CuCl2 + H2OX= CuOY= CuCl2
