Let the sale price of the computer for the distributor P be ₹ x. Then,

Tax charged by the company ABC = (10% of ₹ x) = ₹ $\left(\frac{x}{10}\right)$

Selling price of the computer for the distributor = ₹ $(x+\left(\frac{x}{10}\right))$ = ₹ $\frac{11x}{10}$

So, selling price of the computer for the distributor P for ₹ 44000.

So, $\left(\frac{11x}{10}\right)$ = 44000

$\Rightarrow$ x = 40,000.
