Solution

The correct option is B 0.2 cm, 16514 cm

Here, the first ray is incident on concave mirror.

So, for concave mirror

u=30 cm; f=10 cm

Using mirror formula,
1v+1u=1f

1v130=110

v=15 cm

Now applying magnification formula,

m=ABAB=vu

AB2=(15)30

AB=1 cm

So, image formed by first reflection will be real inverted and diminished.

Now, object distance for convex mirror

u=O2A=(7015)=55 cm and

f=+15 cm

Again using mirror formula,
1v + 1u = 1f

1v = 115 + 155

v=16514 cm

Again applying magnification formula,

m=A′′B′′AB=vu = (16514)55

A′′B′′=(314)AB

A′′B′′=(314)(1)=0.2 cm

A′′B′′=0.2 cm; v′′=16514 cm

Hence, option (b) is correct.
