Radius of curvature, R=24cm

magnification, m=3

focal length, f=R2

=242

f=12cm

We know

m=vu

3=vu

v=3u......(1)

from mirror formula

1f=1v+1u

112=13u+1u (from (1))

On solving

u=8cm

The object will be 8cm from the mirror
