The correct option is B Electric field is in downward direction.
The electrons in the rod are moving towards right. By using F=qv×B and right hand thumb rule, the force on the electrons is downwards. Therefore, the electrons accumulate in the bottom, and the positive charges accumulate at the top. Therefore, the field created by these induced charges is downwards.
