Let the elementary ring of width dx and radius r.

From figure, y=mx+c (straight line equation)

Using y=0 at x=0 c=0

Also y=ba at x=l m=bal

y=bal

Radius of elementary ring r=a+mx=a+balx

Now resistance of elementary ring dR=ρdxπr2=ρl2πdx((ba)x+al)2

Total resistance R=ρl2πlodx((ba)x+al)2=ρl2(ba)π×1(ba)x+allo
