Question

A constant force acting on a body of m=3 kg changes its speed from 2 to 3.5 m/s in 25 s . in the direction of the motion of the body . what is the magnitude and direction of the force?

Open in App
Solution

force=mass*acceleration
f=ma
here m=3
a=change in velocity /time
a=(Vfinal-Vinitial)/time
a=(3.5-2)/25
a=1.5/25=0.06m/s^2
f=ma=3*0.06=0.18 N
Since acceleration is positive the force will act along the direction of motion of the body
