Initial carbonated water quantity = 5 L 500 mL
Quantity sold on first day = 2 L 200 mL
Quantity sold on second day = 3 L 300 mL
Here, 'sold' signifies subtraction.
∴ We have to perform: 5 L 500 mL−2 L 200 mL−3 L 300 mL
As addition and subtraction operations have same level of priority, we start from the left.
Let's first perform 5 L 500 mL−2 L 200 mL
Now, 3 L 300 mL−3 L 300 mL=0 L
∴ There was no carbonated water left on the last day.
