Question
A converging and a diverging lens of focal lengths are placed coaxially in contact .find the power and focal length of combination
Open in App
Solution
Let the focal length of both the lenses be f.
Focal length of the combinationis F given by
1/F = (1/f)+(1/-f) = 0
or, F is infinity.
Since focal length is infinity then power will be zero
