A convex mirror has a focal length f. A real object is placed at a distance of f2 from the pole. Find out the position, magnification and nature of the image.

Object distance u=f2
Focal length of convex mirror is f.
Using mirror image : 1v+1u=1f
Or 1v+1(f/2)=1f
v=f3
Magnification m=vu=(f/3)f/2=23
The image formed is virtual and erect and diminished.
