A copper sphere of diameter 18 cm is drawn into a wire of diameter 4 mm. Find the length of the wire.

Volume of sphere = 43πr3 = 43 ×227 × 93 cm3

Let length of the wire be x cm

Volume of cylinder = πr2l = π × 0.22× x
Volume of sphere = Volume of cylinder

43 ×π× 93 cm3 = π × 2×102 × x
x =24300 cm = 243 m
