  1. The making of the cotton shirt from a cotton ball is a lengthy and time taking process.
  2. Cotton is picked from cotton bolls by hands and grows on the cotton plants in the fields.
  3. And then fibres are segregated from the seeds by a process called combing.
  4. After separating the fibres, these cotton fibres are drawn out and twisted to bring the fibres together.
  5. It leads to the formation of a long thread called yarn.
  6. This process is called spinning.
  7. After this process, weaving is done in which cotton fabric is formed by arranging two sets of cotton yarns.
  8. The process of weaving is done on looms.
  9. Now, this fabric is sewn together to form a shirt by the process of sewing.
