A covalent hydride?

Open in App
Solution

Covalent hydrides are formed when hydrogen reacts with other similar electronegative elements like Si, C, etc. Covalent hydrides are formed by sharing of electrons. The examples of these are CH4 andNH3. In general, compounds that are formed when hydrogen is reacted with non-metals are called covalent hydrides. They are either liquid or gases in nature.
