A cricket ball is projected vertically upward. What kind of acceleration is acting on the ball ?

  1. When a cricket ball is thrown upwards the gravitational force will be trying to pull it into the centre of the earth which means the gravitational force will be acting opposite to the direction of motion of the ball.
  2. Acceleration will be 9.81ms2.
