Volume of each smaller cube with edge = (let x) = x3
No. of smaller cubes = n
As the total volume remain unchanged ,
Vol. of cube with edge k = (number of smaller cubes) x (Volume of each smaller cube with edge x)
k3=nx3x3=k3nx=3(k3n)x=(kn(13))
So, the edge of new cube = kn(1/3)
