Archimedes' principle states that the buoyant force acting on
the immersed part of an object is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by it.
The volume of the cube of side 10 cm is 1000 cm3=0.001 m3, which is also equal to the volume of water displaced.
Mass of water displaced = Density x Volume =1000 kg/m3×0.001 m3=1 kg (Density of water is 1000kg/m3)
Weight of water displaced=mg=1×10 N
Hence, the water experiences a buoyant force of 10 N.
