A cubical block having square cross section of side 2 m and of mass M=10 kg is resting over a platform moving at constant acceleration a=1m/s2. Coefficient of friction between the block and the platform is μ=0.1. A force F acts at the top of the cube as shown in Fig. Now match Column I with Column II.

The force required to topple the block about O,
Fa=Mag+Ma2×1
F=M+M2=55N
and fmax=μmg=0.1×10×10=10N
Force between 0-10N will do neither sliding or slipping.
Force between 10-55 N will cause slipping.
Force above 55 N will topple the block.
