Question

A cubical box can hold maximum 8 litres of water, what is the length its side?

Open in App
Solution

The volume of the cubical box is 8 litres.
We all know that, 1 litre = 1000 cm3.
So, 8 litre = 8 × 1000 cm3 = 8000 cm3.
It is a cube so volume = length × length × length
Now, 8000 cm3 = 20 cm × 20 cm × 20 cm.
So, length of a side off the cube = 20 cm.
