A cubical box has edge 10 cm and another cuboidal box is 12.5 cm long, 10 cm wide and 8 cm high..Which box has smaller total surface area?

Formula for the total surface area of the cube = 6l2 = 6 x 102 = 6 x 100 = 600cm2
Formula for the total surface area of the cuboid = 2(lb+bh+lh)

=2[(12.5 x 10) + (10 x 8) + (8 x 12.5)]

=2[125+80+100]

=610cm2
Thus, Cube has a smaller total surface area.
