The correct option is A 296 cubic cm
Volume of the remaining cake = Volume of the bigger cake - Volume of the cake removed



Volume of cube
= Length × Width × Height

For a cube: length = width = height

Volume of the bigger cake
= 8 × 8 × 8
= 512 cubic cm

Volume of the cubic portion took out
= 6 × 6 × 6
= 216 cubic cm

Remaining volume = 512 - 216
= 296 cubic cm
