Question

A current carrying conductor experiences force when placed in a magnetic field what happens to the force when A- the direction of current is reversed B- current is doubled

Solution

Dear student,
if the current carrying conductor (current passes through it= I) is placed in a magnetic field (B)then magnetic force acting on the condurtor =F = I(L×B)=ILB sinθwhere L = length of the conductorθ= angle between the conductor and magnetic fielda. so if current's dierection is reversed.then the direction of force will be reversed. And the magnitude of force remain same.b. if the value of current is doubled.then, the value of F will be doubled, as F is poportional to I
