Question

A current-carrying conductor when placed in a magnetic field always experiences a force. Is the given statement true or false?

Solution

The force experience by a current carrying conductor placed in a magnetic field is :
F=q(v×B)=qvBsinθ
If the direction of current flow and the direction of magnetic field become same(θ=0) or exactly opposite (θ=180) then the force experienced by it will be zero.
So the given statement is false.
