Solution

Dear Student ,

When current carrying conductor lies in magnetic field, magnetic forces are exerted on the moving charges within the conductor. These forces are transmitted to the material of the conductor ,and the conductor as a whole experiences a force distributed along it’s length.

We represent the section of wire by a vector l along the wire and in the direction of current. Then the force on this section of the wire is given by F=IlXB.
