A current-carrying conductor experience a force when it is in a magnetic field, due to the interaction between the magnetic field & the field (magnetic) produced by moving charges in the wire.
Using Fleming's left hand rule we can determine the direction of the force.
The current-carrying conductor generates a magnetic field around it. This interacts with an external magnetic field. When two magnetic field interacts attraction & repulsion between them based on the direction of external magnetic field and the direction of current in the conductor.
