If the drift velocity vd of the electrons is vd=1.4×10xms1. Find x.

The current density j is given by:
j=iA=500.02×1.0×102=25×105Am2
The drift velocity vd is given by:
vd=jne=25×1051.1×1029×1.6×1019=1.4×104ms1
This velocity will be in outward direction.
