A current of 1 amp is flowing in the sides of an equilateral triangle of side 4.5×102m. Find the magnetic field at the centroid of triangle.

Magnetic field at the centroid of triangle is given by:

B=3μ0I4πa(sinθ1sinθ2)

For an equilateral triangle, θ1=θ2=600

From the figure,

a=12cot60

a=4.5×10223

So,

B=3×107×23×234.5×102×2

B=4×105T
