Solution

The correct option is B 7 km/hr
Let the original average speed of the cyclist be x km/hr

Time=DistanceSpeed

Then as per given condition 14(x1)=14x+13

14x14(x1)x(x1)=13

14x2x=13

x2x42=0

x27x+6x42=0

x(x7)+6(x7)=0

(x7)(x+6)=0

x=7 or 6

Since speed cannot be negative, so x=7 km/hr.
