A cylindrical bar magnet is placed at a fixed point along the axis of a circular coil as shown in the figure below. If the magnet is rotated about the axis of the coil, then:
No current will be induced in the coil
Current will be induced in a conductor only when there is a change in the magnetic flux associated with it. If we rotate the bar magnet along the axis of the circular coil, there is no change in the magnetic flux associated with it. Therefore, no emf with be induced and hence no current will flow through the coil.
