A cylindrical bucket of height 18cm, had 1200 cm3 of water.
This water was used to fill a cuboid having base dimensions 8cm x 10cm. After filling the cuboid, 6 cm of water still remained in the cylindrical bucket, find the height of the cuboidal box.
10 cm
volume of cube = volume of water filled
Height of water used = 18 - 6 = 12 cm [as 6 cm remained after filling the cuboid]
Volume of water filled in the cuboid = 23 × 1200 = 800cm3
Volume of cuboid = l×b×h
⇒h=800cm3l×b
⇒h=800cm38×10
⇒h=800cm380
⇒h=10cm
