A cylindrical piller has a diameter of 56cm and is of 35m high. There are 16 pillars around the building. Find the cost of painting the curved surface area of all the pillars at the rate of Rs.5.50 per 1m2

Given a cylindrical pillar diameter of 56cm and its height is35m.

Then radius of pillar =562cm=28100m=0.28m

Then curved surface area of pillar =2πrh=2×227×0.28×35=61.60m2

Then the curved surface area of 16 pillars =61.60×16=985.60m2

Given the cost of painting the curved surface area of all pillar at the rate of Rs5.50 per 1sqm

Then the cost of paining of 16 pillars =985.60×5.50=5420.80 Rs
