Solution

Radius of cylindrical tank =154 cm=1.54 m

Height of water =3 m

If height is 4.5 m then let the volume be v

Increase in volume of cylinder (v)=227×r2×(Hh)

Increase in volume of cylinder (v)=227×1.54×1.54×(4.53)

Increase in volume of cylinder (v)=227×2.3716×1.5

Increase in volume of cylinder (v)=22×0.3388×1.5

Increase in volume of cylinder (v)=11.1804 m3
