Internal diameter = 11.2 cm
Internal radius (r) = 11.22=5.6 cm

External radius (R) = 5.6 + 0.4 = 6 cm
Length of the tube (h) = 21 cm

Volume of the metal used
= Volume of the cylinder with external radius (R) – Volume of the cylinder with internal radius (r)

=πR2hπr2h

=πh(R2r2)=(227)×21[(6)2(5.6)2]

=(227)×21×(6+5.6)(65.6)

=(227)×21×11.6×0.4

=306.24 cm3
