The correct option is B 36cm
Height of cylinder =32cm
Radius of cylinder =9cm
Volume of cylinder =π(9)2(32)
It is emptied and the sand takes the shape of a cone.
Height of cone =24cm
Volume of cone =13πr2(24)
But, volume of cone=volume of cylinder
=>π(9)2(32)=13πr2(24)=>r2=(18)2×4=>r=18×2=36cm
