Being a 6 pole dc machine with pole shoe length 0.2 m it carries 1000 armature conductors, connected in wave winding arrangement, then the average flux density will be_________ Tesla.

We know,
Pole pitch=Periphery of armatureNo. of poles=2πrP=π×0.46

Pole arcpole pitch=0.8

Pole arc=0.8×π×0.46=0.168 m

Area of pole face =0.168×0.2=0.0336 m2

Emf, Eb=PϕZN60A

300=600×6×ϕ×100060×2=0.01 Wb

Flux density =ϕA=0.010.0336=0.2976 Tesla
