let M.P = ₹ x
$\therefore S.P=x-20\text{\% of}x$
$\Rightarrow S.P=x-\frac{20}{100}\times x$
$\Rightarrow S.P=x-\frac{1}{5}\times x$
$\Rightarrow S.P=\frac{4}{5}\times x$-------- (1)

$\text{Gain}=5\%\text{and C.P}=₹2,000$
$\therefore S.P=C.P+5\text{\% of}C.P$

$\Rightarrow S.P=2000+\frac{5}{100}\times 2000$

$\Rightarrow S.P=2000+100=₹2,100$
From (1)
$\text{Thus,}\frac{4}{5}\times x=2100$
