Let he cost price of each table is $x and cost price of each chair is $y.

A dealer wanted to buy 30 tables and 50 chairs by spending $1,500.

Total cost =$30x+$50y
$1500=$30x+$50y
The intercept form equation is
x50+y30=1500

Also, it is given that, cost of each chair is equal to cost of each table.
y=x
These are two simultaneous linear equations.
