(a) If an object does not change its position with respect to its surroundings with the passage of time, it is said to be in the state of rest,
If an object change its position with respect to its surroundings with the passage of time, it is said to be in the state of motion,

(b) If an object covers equal distances in equal intervals of time, it is said to be in uniform motion.
If an object covers unequal distances in equal intervals of time, it is said to be in non-uniform motion.

(c) Force is a push or pull which changes or tends to change the state of rest or state of uniform motion of an object. SI unit of force is newton (N).
