a)-The amount of energy produced by the complete combustion of a material or fuel is known as the calorific value of a fuel. It is measured in units of energy per amount of material.
eg. kJ/ Kg.

b)Joule is a unit of work or energy in the International System of Units. The calorific value of LPG is 55000 kJ/kg, it means it produces 55000 kilo joule energy on burning 1 kg of it.
